5 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell (elbow) said he felt great during his 20-pitch bullpen session on Friday, and he mixed in all of his pitches, including his slider. Snell will see how his body responds on Saturday, but he thinks he could pitch in a Grapefruit League game on Monday against the Blue Jays. The American League Cy Young in 2018, Snell slipped in 2019 and made only 23 starts because of arm issues. It's concerning that the lefty had a setback this spring with his elbow, but he appears to be fine for now and could still be ready for Opening Day. There's obviously some risk here, but when healthy, Snell has the stuff to be a fantasy ace.
