Benny Snell Jr. On The Outside Looking In?
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. had 113 yards on 19 carries in last year's season-opener in place of James Conner, but he wound up averaging 3.3 yards per carry with four touchdowns over the course of the season behind a really bad offensive line. The Steelers drafted Najee Harris and also signed Kalen Ballage, who averaged 4.3 yards per carry with the New York Jets and 3.3 yards per tote with the Los Angeles Chargers last year. Ballage won't push for a starting job, but he could push Snell for the final roster spot in the running back room. The 23-year-old will only be fantasy relevant as a deep-league handcuff for Harris' owners if he wins a backup job over Ballage this summer.
