1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will start the team's preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to sources. Kyle Trask will then start the second preseason game against the New York Jets. The two signal-callers have been rotating first-team repetitions through the offseason and into training camp this summer. Most accounts of Tampa's QB battle in camp have favored Mayfield, mainly because of his experience in the NFL compared to that of Trask. The 28-year-old was mostly inefficient in his time with the Panthers and Rams in 2022. He'll have solid weapons to work with in the passing game, but fantasy managers can't realistically expect him to be anything more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues if he wins the starting gig over Trask to open the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
