2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. This shouldn't come as a surprise at all after he suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Mayfield will avoid surgery on his ankle and isn't being ruled out for Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams, but he's highly unlikely to play this weekend. With Sam Darnold (ankle) still on Injured Reserve, P.J. Walker is in line to start under center for Carolina. With Walker set to play in Week 6, fantasy managers need to downgrade all of the Panthers offensive skill players against a tough Rams defense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
