Austin Hooper Back From COVID-19 List
3 years agoThe Cleveland Browns activated tight end Austin Hooper and linebacker Jacob Phillips from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday and placed cornerback Greg Newsome on the COVID list. Hooper missed Monday's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, but he'll be active on Christmas Day to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. The 27-year-old caught five of his six targets for 30 yards and his third touchdown of the year in his last game in the Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens, but that came in a game in which the Browns didn't have tight ends David Njoku or Harrison Bryant active. Both Njoku and Bryant are back from injury and COVID, so Hooper will merely be a touchdown-dependent TE2 against the Packers this weekend.
