Austin Dillon starts from 18th on Sunday at the Enjoy Illinois 300. The Richard Childress Racing driver has seen his situation go from bad to even worse in 2024. His average finish has dipped to 25.6. As a full-time driver, his previous worst was 21.8 in 2023. Dillon has run well on the track in the past. He flirted with the Top 15 in 2022 and spent the majority of the time inside the Top 15 last year. An accident foiled his hopes for a top finish. The No. 3 Chevy was only 0.431 seconds off from Michael McDowell's lap time on Saturday.
