Astros Non-Tendering Aaron Sanchez
5 years agoThe Houston Astros are non-tendering starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (shoulder), according to a source. It's not a surprise, however, given that Sanchez is expected to miss the beginning of the 2020 regular season after having shoulder surgery in September. The right-hander continues to be hurt by injuries and up-and-down performances in the big leagues. Sanchez posted an ugly 5.89 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 115 strikeouts in 27 starts for the Blue Jays and Astros last year. Fantasy owners will want to see Sanchez prove his health before they jump on board. He won't be guaranteed a spot in a starting rotation, either, given his injuries over the years.
