Anthony Rendon Activated And Starting Friday
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Angels activated third baseman Anthony Rendon (wrist) from the 10-day injured list on Friday, and he is right back in the lineup at third base and batting cleanup against left-hander Tommy Henry and the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks. Rendon will be returning from a left-wrist contusion, but fantasy managers may want to continue to stay away from him. The 33-year-old is hitting just .248 (33-for-133) with a homer, 21 RBI, two stolen bases and 22 runs scored in 38 games this year. He also has only two base hits (both doubles) in 30 at-bats in the month of June with one RBI, two walks and seven strikeouts in eight games played. The Angels really need Rendon to get going if they are going to make a postseason appearance in 2023.
