Andrew Painter Fans Five Over Five Innings
Andrew Painter picked up the win Thursday against Triple-A Norfolk. He allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five. He relied heavily on his four-seamer and cutter in this start, throwing them more than 80 percent of the time. While Painter hasn't gone deep into any start, the 22-year-old hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start all season. Through 28 1/3 innings, Painter owns a 3.18 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 32:8 K:BB. Painter should be expected to make his debut sometime around mid-season and makes for a solid stash at the moment.
