Andrew Benintendi Drops To Sixth In Tuesday's Starting Lineup
11 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi has been demoted to sixth in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Cleveland Guardians. It's just the fifth start out of the six-hole for the former top Red Sox prospect as he's largely hit second of late. However, the drop in the order can be attributed to left-hander Logan Allen getting the nod for the Guardians. Benintendi, who will carry a nine-game hitting streak into Tuesday's contest, has actually handled same-handed pitching well this season as per his .286 average and .748 OPS against them, but he's still without a home run across 189 trips to the plate on the season. Jake Burger is hitting out of Benintendi's usual two-hole Tuesday night in Cleveland.
