Andrelton Simmons Dealing With Ankle Inflammation
Andrelton Simmons (ankle) was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox with right ankle inflammation. Jake Cave came on to replace Simmons in the sixth inning of the game after Simmons had gone 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Simmons is being considered day-to-day and it doesn't appear as if the team is very concerned about the injury. While he may sit out Thursday's afternoon game as a precaution, he could very well be back for Friday's series opener against the Oakland Athletics.
