Detroit Red Wings center Andreas Athanasiou posted a power-play goal to open the scoring in a 2-1 home loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night. He gave his team a short-lived lead, but the rest of his teammates were unable to scratch out any offense. After managing just one assist over his first five games, Athanasiou has been red hot with four goals and five points over his past five outings, including two points on the man advantage. If you need a sleeper pivot in deeper fantasy pools, especially those which do not penalize plus/minus rating, Athanasiou is worth a look.--Daniel Dobish
