Allen Robinson II Accepts Franchise Tag
4 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson II officially accepted his franchise tag on Thursday, locking in his $18 million salary for the 2021 season, according to a source. Robinson will have a new starting quarterback entering the 2021 season in Andy Dalton. It's not much to look at, but it could actually be an improvement over the combination of Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky last season. A-Rob has three 1,000-yard receiving campaigns in his career, including in each of the last two seasons with highly questionable QB play. The 27-year-old had a career-high 102 receptions on 151 targets for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns in 2020. Even though Dalton leaves a lot to be desired, Robinson will remain a pretty reliable low-end WR1 heading into fantasy drafts this fall.
