Alex Verdugo Unlikely To Play Monday
Alex Verdugo (hamstring) on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays after he left Sunday's game early against the Kansas City Royals with left-hamstring tightness in the sixth inning. "We will probably stay away from [Verdugo] tomorrow and see how he feels," Cora said. "He was in between the ball, and when he stopped he felt it. Hopefully there is nothing major there." The 27-year-old is considered day-to-day, so check back to see if he's available on Tuesday. Verdugo has hit for a solid average and has provided some runs in his fourth year in Boston, hitting .278 (135-for-485) with 13 home runs, 34 doubles, five triples, 53 RBI, four stolen bases and 76 runs scored in 124 games.
