Aleksander Barkov Suffers A Lower-Body Injury
2 years agoFlorida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov didn't complete Saturday's game against New Jersey because of a lower-body injury. He didn't come out for the second period after taking Nico Hischier's stick to his left knee area late in the first. Before exiting, Barkov managed to get to 22 points for the season with a power-play assist. The team is set to evaluate Barkov on Sunday and we should then know more about his injury. It's not been an easy campaign for Barkov, as he recently battled with pneumonia and health issues have already robbed him of seven games. Sam Bennett is set for promotion to the first line if the Panthers captain needs some time off to recover.
