Albert Pujols Quietly Having Solid Second Half
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols is hitting only .186 over his last 59 at-bats but is having a solid second half to his season heading into Monday's action. In 22 games since the All-Star break, Pujols is slashing only .262/.284/.476 but has five home runs and 21 runs batted in. Pujols is also hitting a respectable .276 with runners in scoring position, decent numbers for a 39-year-old slugger. Pujols is so one-dimensional at this point in his career that it is hard to justify a fantasy roster spot for him in most formats. But teams looking for pure power could do worse than the future Hall of Famer.
