On Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway, NASCAR did not like what it saw with the No. 16 Chevrolet before practice and qualifying. Because of this, the Kaulig Racing team had to go through inspection, where the car failed, and the team lost 10 minutes of practice time as well. NASCAR issued additional penalties to the team on Saturday evening. Notably, Allmendinger will have to start the Cracker Barrel 400 from the rear of the field on Sunday night and also serve a stop-and-go penalty after taking the green flag. The team also lost their pit stall selection and car chief Jaron Antley was ejected for the remainder of the weekend. These penalties are definitely not a positive thing for AJ Allmendinger to overcome on race day, but it's worth noting that stop-and-go penalties have rarely been a dagger for drivers. The No. 16 Chevrolet still showed good speed in practice this weekend and AJ is coming off of a strong top-five finish in the Coca-Cola 600 last week. From a DFS perspective, this will cause most people to stay away from Allmendinger on DraftKings ($6,600). This could be an opportunity to go overweight on a driver that has been strong on intermediates this season and has a decent track record at Nashville (he's finished 11th and 10th the last two seasons).--Jordan McAbee
