Adolis Garcia Dropped To Fifth In Batting Order
Adolis Garcia has been dropped to fifth in the batting order for Monday's series opener on the road in Anaheim against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Davis Daniel. Garcia got a mental break in the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday due to his season-long slump at the plate, and he'll return on Monday a little lower in the lineup. The 31-year-old right-handed slugger hasn't had a hit in his last 10 at-bats in his last three starts and is now down to a .215/.280/.413 slash line with a .694 OPS in 85 games on the year after earning his second All-Star selection in 2023. Garcia does have 16 home runs, seven stolen bases and 44 RBI, but overall it's been a hugely disappointing season for his fantasy managers.
