Adley Rutschman Will Not Return Until After All-Star Break
Adley Rutschman (oblique) will not return until after the All-Star Break. The Orioles placed their top catcher on the injured list on Saturday with a left oblique strain. However, his injury appears to be rather significant as he will remain sidelined throughout most of July. Before his injury, Rutschman was beginning to find his footing at the plate. Over his last 16 contests, the former top prospect has posted a strong .309/.381/.509 slash line with two doubles, three home runs, and an 8:7 K:BB. However, during his first two months, Rutschman carried an underwhelming .203/.300/.332 line. While he remains out of action, fantasy managers should expect veteran Gary Sanchez to see most of the opportunities behind the dish.
