Free-agent right-hander Adam Wainwright is in wait-and-see mode as it pertains to potentially re-signing with the St. Louis Cardinals. Because of a strange shortened 2020 season due to COVID-19 with no fans, the Cardinals could be limited in what they do financially. Long-time catcher Yadier Molina, who is also a free agent, also has his future up in the air. Wainwright broke in with the Cardinals in 2005, spending his entire 15-year career to this point with them. But with all the obstacles in place because of this strange year for baseball, the 39-year-old may not be offered a contract to return. Despite his age, Wainwright was productive this year, going 5-3 with a 3.15 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 65 2/3 innings over 10 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
