While A.J. Allmendinger qualified 14th at Martinsville for Sunday, it is the later speed in races which has been lacking. Short tracks have not been kind to the Kaulig Racing driver and his Chevy. He finished 25th in total speed at Phoenix then 27th at Richmond. Worse, his two recent appearances at Martinsville produced results outside the top 20. The 24th last Spring indicated there was a little speed but no real momentum to battle further up into the field. Staying on the lead lap has been a challenge as well as performance problems crop up on longer runs. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerRead More News
