NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Titans vs. Jaguars Showdown

Evan Engram - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Jackson's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Titans-Jaguars showdown slate on 1/7. His Saturday Night Football daily fantasy football advice.

Week 18 is here and the majority of traditional fantasy football leagues have reached a conclusion and crowned a champion. Luckily, there are still DFS contests to keep the fun and competition of fantasy sports alive. On Saturday night, the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars will battle for the AFC South division title and the right to host a Wild Card game in the playoffs next weekend. Meanwhile, fantasy gamers will be battling for the top prize in this single-game showdown.

This contest isn't the most glamorous one since Tennessee has plenty of key injuries and is starting their third quarterback of the season, but sometimes, this can lead to finding cheap value that other DFSers will simply ignore. Jacksonville is an ascending team with a high-ceiling passing offense, while Tennessee has lost six straight games and prefers to stick to the ground game with Derrick Henry. All in all, it sets up for an interesting and wild game for DFS, especially with all that is on the line in terms of real NFL implications.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Titans vs. Jaguars NFL DFS showdown slate on January 7th. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. MVP/Captain Plays

Trevor Lawrence - QB, $16,200 (DK), $16,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 3,901 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.
  • 18.3 fantasy points per game (ninth among QBs)
  • 19.6 opponents fantasy points per game allowed to QBs (fourth-most)

Lawrence has been a rock-solid fantasy and DFS asset this year and his season high this season came against Tennessee in Week 14. Lawrence finished as the QB1 on the main slate with 368 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown for a total of 33.4 fantasy points. On DraftKings, he easily hit the 300-yard passing bonus. Tennessee's secondary has been exploitable all season, so while Lawrence will be chalky here, he's probably the guy you have to have to contend for a top finish.

Derrick Henry - RB, $17,700 (DK), $16,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 1,429 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 32 receptions, 379 receiving yards
  • Last three games against Jacksonville: 24.0 rushing attempts per game, 155.3 rushing yards per game, six total touchdowns
  • Opponent rushing yards allowed per attempt: 4.2 (10th-fewest)

Jacksonville actually has a solid defense in stopping the run, but Tennessee has not and will not shy away from feeding Derrick Henry, especially in a "win-or-go-home" situation in Week 18. Henry has scored just over 42-percent of the Titans' touchdowns (13 rushing, one passing), so if the Titans' offense is competent enough to get in scoring range, Henry will likely deliver a score. There's no cap to what Henry's workload could look like in this game as long as it stays close and competitive.

Other Captains/MVPs: Joshua Dobbs, Evan Engram, Christian Kirk

DFS Flex Plays

Evan Engram - TE, $10,500 (DK), $10,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 94 targets, 69 receptions, 739 yards, four touchdowns.
  • 15.85 opponent fantasy points per game allowed to tight ends (third-most)
  • Week 14 against Titans: 15 targets, 11 receptions, 162 yards, two touchdowns

Tennessee had absolutely no answers for Engram in Week 14, as he went on for a monster day with career highs in all categories. Of course, we can't just chalk him up for the same exact success, but Tennessee has struggled against tight ends all season, and Engram still flies under the radar with all of the high-upside pass catchers on the field for Jacksonville. He's still affordable enough to be more than worth the price for a high-end flex choice.

Zay Jones - WR, $7,600 (DK), $11,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 115 targets, 78 receptions, 802 receiving yards, five touchdowns.
  • 40.7 opponent fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (most in NFL)

While you could go for Christian Kirk here, Jones is much cheaper on DraftKings and a tad cheaper on FanDuel, with just as much, if not more upside. Jones has three top-8 fantasy finishes among wideouts in his last six games, while Kirk has finished outside the top-40 fantasy wideouts in four of those six games. The pricing is odd here, so I prefer the discount on Jones in a juicy matchup. Ultimately, pairing any two Jaguars' pass-catchers with Lawrence is a great bet.

Other Flex Options: Christian Kirk, Travis Etienne, Treylon Burks

DFS Value Plays

Joshua Dobbs QB, $9,000 (DK), $13,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 232 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception (one game)
  • 18.23 opponent fantasy points per game allowed the QBs (eighth-most)

While Dobbs is an unproven journeyman backup quarterback, the value is strong here against a Jags defense that struggles against the position. We've seen plenty of uninspiring quarterbacks put up big fantasy performances, so when QBs are priced this cheap, you always have to consider playing them. Dobbs is a perfect flex on the opposite side of a Trevor Lawrence stack because if Lawrence is having a field day, Dobbs will have to be heavily involved in the offense to catch up.

Robert Woods WR, $5,800 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 86 targets, 49 receptions, 487 receiving yards, two touchdowns.
  • Nine targets, five receptions, 39 yards, one touchdown in lone game with Dobbs at QB
  • 33.20 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (14th-most)

Of course, it's just a one-game sample, but since Woods is $5,800 on DraftKings in single-game showdown tournaments, he's a solid flex option after a promising week with Dobbs at quarterback last week. All of the Titans' pass-catchers are bargains for a reason, but rolling with one of them could give your lineup some differentiation fit perfectly for DFS contests. The Jaguars' offensive skill players all carry hefty price tags, so you'll probably need a Titans' pass-catcher to round out the team.

Other Value Plays: Riley Patterson, JaMycal Hasty, Jaguars DST
