NFL DFS: Buccaneers vs. Falcons DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks - TNF Showdown Slate (Week 5)

Bijan Robinson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Today's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- Buccaneers vs. Falcons TNF showdown slate for Week 5 (October 3, 2024). Koby's NFL daily fantasy sleeper picks.

We are back again, RotoBallers! Last week was killer! I had a few close takedowns; had Daniel Jones gotten a little more done, we probably could have gotten there. This week, we have an exciting matchup: an NFC South rivalry game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Atlanta Falcons. This one has plenty of opportunity to go multiple ways. Playing multiple lineups with different game scripts could be a game-changer.

Thanks to today's advanced analytics, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups, etc., to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some cash this season!

I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Buccaneers vs. Falcons NFL DFS showdown slate for Thursday, October 3, 2024. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, follow me on X @DFSKoby and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts whenever you'd like!

MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Bijan Robinson - RB, $14,700 (DK), $14,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 224 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, 15 receptions, and 135 receiving yards

Bijan has been the main focus of this offense so far this season, and he gets a great matchup against the Buccaneers run defense, which has given up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season. Bijan also gets involved in the passing game, where he has excelled this season, only dropping one target. I imagine this game will be tight, so the Falcons should keep Bijan involved throughout the game.

Chris Godwin - WR, $15,000 (DK), $12,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 27 receptions, 322 receiving yards, and three touchdowns

I don't think you can go wrong with either WR here. Mike Evans has been a bit more boom or bust this season, whereas Chris Godwin has been more consistent. I do worry about the matchup Mike Evans may have going against A.J. Terrell, which is why I give Godwin the edge here.

With Trey Palmer and Jalen McMillan both out for this matchup, this should lead to more targets for these guys. I believe people will focus on Baker Mayfield in the captain spot, but getting different with either Mike or Chris could be the difference.

Other Captains/MVPs: Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Drake London - WR, $8,800 (DK), $11,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 20 receptions, 200 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

Part of me wants to take a shot on Kyle Pitts again, but I just can't do it. He just feels nonexistent in this offense. Drake London, however, has been quite active, seeing 28 targets across the last three games and bringing in 18 of them. The big thing is getting him into the end zone, and if the Falcons can do that, then London could end up being optimal.

Chase McLaughlin- K, $5,000 (DK), $9,500 (FD)

I do not often throw a kicker into one of these spots, but I like Chase McLaughlin quite a bit this week. Atlanta is giving up the most fantasy points to kickers this year, and Chase has been perfect outside of one missed extra point in last week's win. He is 3-of-3 in 50+ yard field goals so far this year, which is where the big points are earned for kickers.

Other Flex Options: Rachaad White, Bucky Irving, Younghoe Koo

Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Darnell Mooney - WR, $7,200 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

I prefer to take Mooney on FD as he is much cheaper there. Over the last three games, he has been targeted 21 times and caught 14 of them. He seems to be one of the more favored targets for Kirk Cousins so far this season and to be honest, I was quite surprised to see him that cheap. That being said, a lot of people will probably end up on him, therefore making him a fairly chalky play for cash games.

Sterling Shepard - RB, $1,600 (DK), $7,000 (FD)

Sterling Shepard saw a fair share of targets in the Buccaneers' win against the Eagles on Sunday. He finished with three receptions for 51 yards. He played 47% of snaps as well. I expect this to go up, with McMillan and Palmer both being ruled out. He should be the clear WR3 coming into this matchup, and with how cheap he is, he could be worth a shot in a few lineups.

Other Value Plays: Ray-Ray McCloud III, Kameron Johnson (Punt)

Enjoy your night and good luck, everyone!
