BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 21% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I don't think it makes much sense to doubt rookie QB Mac Jones' abilities to carry this Patriots offense. That's already a positive for getting some Nelson Agholor shares. I know it might be difficult to trust the wideout given his often shaky ways--yes, he's as capable of going for a ridiculous WR1 finish as he's of putting up a resounding zero-FP dud--but we're discussing a deeper-format WW target here with upside for booming games here and there but nothing else.
Agholor is this type of player that does nothing, then just explodes out of the blue and puts up some 8-5-80-1 receiving line that leaves you thinking why the hell didn't you start him. In other words: Agholor comes packed with risks and is not a lock to perform to any sort of level weekly. He went for 18.2 PPR points in W1, then didn't even finish inside the top-36 WR for five consecutive games, had a top-26 game, went back to the low side of things with three straight games outside of the top-50, and this past TNF he racked up 15 PPR points and his third TD of the year after logging a perfect 5-5-40-1 receiving line.
That's Nelson Agholor for you, folks. The upside and the ceiling are always going to be there, and it is not that the Patriots have the Monstars playing wideout. But the volatility and week-to-week variance is something very real when it comes to assessing this man's value. Consider Agholor good for a weekly WR3/Flex in deeper leagues, but not much more than that ROS and definitely don't waste a starting slot oh him in any sort of shallower competition.
