NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (2/15/24)

Stephen Curry - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Koby's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on February 15, 2024.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! The All-Star Break starts tomorrow, so that means we have one last chance before the break to make some dough. Last Thursday I put out a couple of lineups in the RotoBaller Discord and we saw them both cash! Hopefully, with the small slate, we can get some similar results. It's going to be tough to get decent value so getting different where you can could be the difference of finishing in the green or not.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/15/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:30 p.m. EST on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Let's first take a look at our premium projections to see who we want to target for our top spend-ups tonight.

Stephen Curry might be in one of the best spots he can be in against the Jazz tonight. We just saw on Monday how well he can attack this Jazz defense and how unstoppable he has been over the last four games. The Jazz are giving up the second most fantasy points to opposing PGs this season. Lock him in.

Anthony Edwards feasted against this Blazers defense on Tuesday. But he comes into it with a questionable tag, and with the break looming he might be held out for extra rest, however if he isn't then fire him up because he cruised to a 55 FP night just two days ago. If he is out, look for KAT, NAW, and Kyle Anderson to pick up some extra run/usage.

Deandre Ayton has finally shaped into his role, after dealing with a few ailments he has been crushing opposing defenses and his mid-range shot is immaculate. I expect adjustments to be made on him after he torched Gobert from the mid-range but if the shot is falling we could be looking at another 40+ FP night.

    1. Stephen Curry, GSW at UTA - PG ($9,600 DK; $9,400 FD)
    2. Anthony Edwards, MIN at POR – SG/SF ($8,700 DK; $9,300 FD)
    3. Deandre Ayton, POR vs. MIN - C ($7,300 DK; $7,900 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

Let's take a look at some of the value plays we have for this small slate.

Nothing massive popping up on the value projections today but Draymond Green tops our leaderboard, and as long as he doesn't go out and try and smack someone he ends up scoring decently well for his price. He has 30 plus in his last three games and finished with 41 and almost a triple-double against the Jazz on Monday. I'll take that kinda value any day.

Keyonte Georges' price on this slate let alone makes him worth a look. With there not being a lot of deep value on the slate we will have to make due where we can. I like the matchup he is in but the Jazz have a loaded backcourt with Dunn, Clarkson, and Sexton. Keyonte's minutes seem safe as they average around 30 minutes which makes him a promising option but at any night he could drop 30+ or a complete dud with only 10 FP.

A couple of guys who aren't pictured above who I think deserve a look include Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Dalano Banton. NAW will be highly used if we see Anthony Edwards is out in tonight's game and his three ball was on fire against Portland on Tuesday. Dalano has immediately carved himself a role off the bench, he has averaged 25 minutes in his two games so far with Portland and looks to be one of the main ball handlers out there when Simons is off the court.

Top Value Plays:

      1. Draymond Green, GSW at UTA – PF/C ($6,300 DK; $6,500 FD)
      2. Keyonte George, UTA vs. GSW – PG/SG ($4,700 DK; $5,400 FD)
      3. Dalano Banton, POR vs. MIN – PG/SG/SF ($3,700 DK; $4,300 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

Stephen Curry on a small slate is near a lock in my mind. There aren't very many spend-up options on this slate so I highly recommend grabbing him in your contests. Not only has he averaged 50+ over the last four games but he has one of the best matchups in the league going against the Jazz.

Anfernee Simons has been overlooked most of the season but he is averaging 34+ FP a game this season and although the matchup isn't great he still had 30 fantasy points against them even with Minnesota blowing them out towards the end. If Anthony Edwards is out, look for this game to be much closer and Anfernee leading this young Blazers team.

Mike Conley gets a solid spot and with Anthony Edwards questionable we could see Conley shoot the ball more in this game. Blazers rank 21st against opposing PGs this season and it shows in his 33 FP against them on Tuesday. Mike Conley is the perfect mid-tier option that will fit in your lineups great.

Top PG Options:

      1. Stephen Curry, GSW at UTA ($9,600 DK; $9,400 FD)
      2. Anfernee Simons, POR vs. MIN ($7,800 DK; $7,800 FD)
      3. Mike Conley, MIN at POR ($5,200 DK; $6,000 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

If playing, Anthony Edwards might be one of the first players I plug into my lineup, he torched this Blazer's defense on Tuesday and I wouldn't be surprised if we see it again. Blazers rank 23rd against opposing SGs and this was shown in his 55 FP performance just a couple days ago. If he is out, look at NAW to fill into that massive role.

Podz has looked solid late into this season carving out a decent-sized role where he is averaging nearly 30 minutes a game and going as far as replacing Klay Thompson in the starting lineup at times. He had a rough outing against the Jazz on Monday but I expect him to bounce back and get the ball rolling, especially after a 47 FP performance just last night.

From the reports I have seen it looks like Scotty Pippen Jr. may end up being out for this game should lead to Kennard into a starting role once again. He had 25 FP in his game last night against the Rockets and I expect him to be shooting a lot. He is fairly cheap on both sites and is worth a look if you need some value.

Top SG Options:

      1. Anthony Edwards, MIN at POR ($8,700 DK; $9,300 FD)
      2. Brandin Podziemski, GSW at UTA ($6,100, $5,900 FD)
      3. Luke Kennard, MEM vs. MIL  ($4,800 DK; $4,900 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

Kuminga has looked even better than I thought alongside Draymond Green and has become a scoring threat as of late. I thought with Green back this would kill Kumingas value but it hasn't hurt him too badly. He is still having close to 30 FP nights and the Jazz has given up the second most FP to opposing PFs over the last seven games.

Andrew Wiggins has stepped back into the starting lineup and has looked quite solid. This game by far has the highest total and I love stacking this Warriors team. Andrew had a pretty mid-performance against the Jazz on Monday but I'm expecting a bounce-back game for him.

Dalano Banton as I said before is slowly carving himself a role into this Blazers backcourt and as long as Brogdon is out I expect that to continue. He is seeing the second-most minutes off the bench only behind Scoot. The Blazers seem to trust him quite a bit letting him handle the ball off the bench, I expect his production to only increase as he gets more play time with his new team. Plus he is only 4.3k on FD!

Top SF Options:

      1. Jonathan Kuminga, GSW at UTA ($6,700 DK; $7,300 FD)
      2. Andrew Wiggins, GSW at UTA  ($5,100 DK; $5,300 FD)
      3. Dalano Banton, POR vs. MIN ($3,700 DK; $4,300 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

On a small slate like this, Giannis is always in contention for a roster spot. His only issue is how expensive he is and how decent of a chance this game ends up blowing out. He is still projected for nearly 60 FP which is good for just over 5x his price. If you can fit him in, then he is always worth a shot!

GG Jackson has averaged 34 FP over his last five games and has looked to be their sixth man at this time. He is a great price on DK and could also be a bit blowout-proof as well. I don't love this game as a whole but there are a few spots I don't mind especially GG at his price.

John Collins might be one of my favorite plays on this slate. Since Kelly Olynyk's departure from the team, it seems to have opened up his role more. He is projected for 34 fantasy points in 31 minutes of play. He has averaged 33 over the last six games and is a relatively cheap price.

Top PF Options:

      1. Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at MEM – PF ($11,800 DK; $11,700 FD)
      2. GG Jackson, MEM vs. MIL ($4,900 DK; $6,100 FD)
      3. John Collins, UTA vs. GSW ($6,600 DK; $6,400 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

Gobert has an A+ matchup against a struggling Portland Defense and that didn't stop him on Tuesday either. He finished with 37 Fantasy points and that was only with one block! I expect to see a bit more in a round-two matchup between these two teams.

I already said why on Deandre Ayton, but I do quickly want to mention Brook Lopez as the Grizzlies give up the most FP to opposing centers over the course of the season. So look at him if you are trying to get a bit different.

Walker Kessler had a fantastic game against the Warriors on Monday finishing with nearly 40 FP in only 25 minutes. That is my only real issue with Kessler is that his minutes are never really pushed. He has seen a slight increase since Olynyk's departure but still isn't close to where I'd like to see it. As long as he is getting blocks though he is fantasy relevant.

Top C Options:

      1. Rudy Gobert, MIN at POR ($7,500 DK; $8,000 FD)
      2. Deandre Ayton, POR vs. MIN ($7,300 DK; $7,900 FD)
      3. Walker Kessler, UTA vs. GSW ($5,600 DK; $7,100 FD)
      4. Brook Lopez, MIL at MEM ($5,700 DK; $6,600 FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

      1. Warriors at Jazz (238.5 total)
      2. Timberwolves at Blazers (214.5 total)
      3. Bucks at Grizzlies (223.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

      1. The Memphis game as a whole is an ugly one, if the Grizzlies somehow keep it close it could be some decent spots but I'm taking the least amount of players from this game.
      2. Lauri Markkannen doesn't intrigue me in the slightest and his price is up there, I think you can fade him as he continues to trend down.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

      • My favorite overall play on the slate: Anthony Edwards
      • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Stephen Curry
      • My favorite GPP play on the slate: Deandre Ayton
      • My favorite value play: Dalano Banton or NAW(if Anthony Edwards doesn't play)
