Welcome to week nine everyone. At this point Memorial Day has come and gone and things are in full swing. The early season surprises have been scooped up, but that's not to say quality plays are not to be found.

In this article, I’ll be providing you with the top starting pitcher streamers for daily fantasy baseball (DFS) and for seasonal leagues for 6/6/16. These streamers will range from high-priced / high-ownership options to low-priced / low-ownership options, and will be sleepers and value picks for your cash games and GPPs on DraftKings and FanDuel, and also for seasonal leagues with daily lineups.

Daily Pitcher Matchup Ratings Tool Top Plays

Jonathan Niese (SP, PIT) versus New York Mets 

Solid Stream

He's far from flashy, but Niese has a quality start in four of his last five starts and gets a revenge game here with the Mets. The Mets have a .701 OPS versus LHP, 22nd in baseball. With Yoenis Cespedes dealing with a hip injury, the Mets are not at full strength and are ripe for the picking.

Christian Friedrich (SP, SD) versus Atlanta Braves

Risky Stream

The ERA (2.53) is nice but the WHIP (1.69) is hideous. The one advantage is how putrid the Braves are; their .214/.274/.292 split versus LHP is last in the league, by far. I expect a low-scoring contest in San Diego, but Freidrich's inconsistency makes him a risky play in seasonal formats.

Max’s Value Plays of the Day

Matt Shoemaker (SP, LAA) at New York Yankees

Must Sream

If Shoemaker is not rostered you need to stop reading and go grab him. He has a 31/0 K/BB ratio in his past three starts. When a pitcher does that, you ask questions later and grab a share. The Yankees .690 OPS versus RHP is 25th in baseball.

Michael Fulmer (SP, DET) versus Toronto Blue Jays

Must Stream

Another pitcher with not enough owners. At 44% ownership, this is a pitcher producing a 9.0 K/9 rate with a potent offense behind him. To put this in perspective, he's the third-highest priced pitcher on DraftKings today. The Blue Jays are a potent offense, but Fulmer has value beyond today.

Williams Perez (SP, ATL) at San Diego Padres

Solid Stream

Perez performed well in May, limiting hitters to a .177 average. The Padres' .641 OPS versus RHP is 29th overall, only better than the lowly Braves. Perez is worth a grab for tonight's contest, but cut bait right afterwards.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Robbie Ray (SP, ARI) versus Tampa Bay Rays

Ray has been awful at home, posting a 6.93 ERA at Chase Field. Hitters have hit .321 off the lefty and the Rays are one of the best teams in baseball versus LHP. Factor in Chris Archer and this is an easy fade.

Danny Duffy (SP, KC) at Baltimore Orioles

Duffy has only surpassed five innings once all year and the Orioles have caught fire in the past week. Collectively the Oriole struggle versus lefties, but given Duffy's inability to go deep into contests it's worth exploring other options today.
