MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 10/4/15

Zitong's analysis and advice for the top MLB DFS lineup picks on DraftKings for 10/4/15, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your daily fantasy baseball rosters.

What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to another edition of my DraftKings DFS lineup picks and analysis. As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on DFS pricing and matchups data.

Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Sunday, October 4th. Players are broken out by position, and I've included a couple DFS stacks to consider for your DFS lineups as well.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should also check out our partner FanDuel. Sign up now for a new account and make a deposit - we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Matchups Tools (a $29.99 value). Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

New York Mets LHB vs Tanner Roark

As left-handed batters, the New York Mets hold the third best offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 119.  Be sure to have a look at Daniel Murphy and Curtis Granderson as great value picks against opposing pitcher Tanner Roark, who has failed to gather any consistency to close out the season. Just be sure to check lineups ahead of time, as the Mets may look to rest players heading into the playoffs.

Seattle Mariners LHB vs Chris Bassitt

As left-handed batters, the Seattle Mariners hold a top ten offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 114. They will face the struggling Chris Bassitt, who has been terrible over his past three starts. Robinson Cano has been extremely hot as of late and should be a prime target in any DraftKings format, while Kyle Seager should be a nice value pick with upside.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Johnny Cueto (SP, KC) - $8600

After a disastrous stretch of games from late August to early September, Cueto seems to have regained his control and earned back some of our trust. He should have no problem keeping the good times going against the Minnesota Twins, who hold a bottom five offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 88. Cueto now has three quality starts in a row and should be a huge bargain for Sunday.

Lance Lynn (SP, STL) - $8400

Lance Lynn looks to be a great value pick as your secondary pitcher. Lynn will face the Atlanta Braves, who hold the third worst offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 87. His control has been inconsistent as of late, but Lynn should still be able to put up a quality start against this lackluster lineup.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Blake Swihart (C, BOS) - $3200

Blake Swihart is an underrated option at the catcher position, and should definitely be targeted if he plays. As with pretty much all batters on Sunday, make sure they are locked into their starting lineup before you submit yours. Swihart will face opposing pitcher Danny Salazar on the road. Since being called up, Swihart holds a wRC+ of 103 against right-handed pitching.

Edwin Encarnacion (1B, TOR) - $4700

Edwin Encarnacion has been on fire, and still manages to be completely affordable on DraftKings. Encarnacion heads into Sunday having hit a home run in each of his last four games.  He will face opposing pitcher Matt Moore on the road. Encarnacion has hit left-handed pitching extremely well this season, holding a wRC+ of 137.

Odubel Herrera (2B, PHI) - $3300

Odubel Herrera makes for a nice sleeper pick for those entering larger competition pools on Sunday. Herrera’s hitting comes and goes, but he is fully capable of putting together a great day at the plate. He will face opposing pitcher Adam Conley At home. Herrera holds a wOBA of .310 against left-handed pitching on the year.

Alex Rodriguez (3B, NYY) - $4200

Alex Rodriguez looks to be a must-start against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman on the road. Rodriguez has hit right-handed pitching very well this season, holding a wRC+ of 121. Also note that he has dominated Tillman in a small sample size. Rodriguez is a lifetime 6 for 12 with four home runs against Tillman.

Starlin Castro (SS, CHI) - $3600

Starlin Castro continues to be the flavor of the month as he faces opposing pitcher Jorge Lopez on the road. Castro only holds a wRC+ of 83 against right-handed pitching on the year. However, he has been a .300 hitter since the All Star Break, along with some power potential. Castro has been able to hold a low strikeout rate as of late, and should be a great target in smaller competition pools.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $5100

Mike Trout has been absolutely terrific against left-handed pitching this season, holding a wRC+ of 180. With this in mind, Trout should be a great pick against opposing pitcher Cole Hamels on the road. Trout hit .316 with eight home runs in the month of September, and southpaw pitching shouldn’t be able to slow him down on Sunday.

George Springer (OF, HOU) - $4900

George Springer has really heated up as of late, and should be a great value pick against opposing pitcher Robbie Ray on the road. Springer has also dominated left-handed pitching this season, holding a wRC+ of 151. Springer is 11 for 24 with two home runs over his last five games, and needs to be prioritized along with Trout as prime targets for your outfield.

Khris Davis (OF, MIL) - $4000

Khris Davis has really been able to show off his power as we finish the regular season. Davis has hit 21 home runs since the All Star Break, and makes for a nice value pick as your tertiary outfielder against opposing pitcher Dan Haren at home. This season, Davis holds a great wOBA of .370 against right handed pitching.
