MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 9/28/15

What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to another edition of my DraftKings DFS lineup picks and analysis. As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on DFS pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Monday, September 28th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $50,000 in cash prizes, including 5K to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Cleveland Indians LHB vs Phil Hughes

As left-handed batters, the Cleveland Indians hold a top ten offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 109. Michael Brantley and Jason Kipnis should both be targeted as quality value picks against opposing pitcher Phil Hughes. Hughes has struggled since the All Star Break and has failed to convert a quality start in six straight outings.

Toronto Blue Jays Middle of the Lineup vs Chris Tillman

As a team, the Toronto Blue Jays hold the best offense in the league against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 113. Be sure to have a look at Edwin Encarnacion and Josh Donaldson as quality corner infield picks against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman. He has been hit hard by several of these Toronto power bats throughout his career.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Max Scherzer (SP, WAS) - $12000

Max Scherzer looks to have the easiest matchup of the aces on the mound. Scherzer will face the Cincinnati Reds, who hold a bottom ten offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 92. Scherzer has been somewhat home run prone as of late. However, the strikeout rate is definitely still there, and he can easily turn in a great outing.

Felix Doubront (SP, OAK) - $4200

There are a lot of quality bats on Monday who should be locks for production, so definitely have a look at Felix Doubront if you need a bargain pitcher. Doubront has struggled as of late, but his worst games have come against the Rangers who have generally owned him. He will face the Angels on Monday, a team that holds a bottom ten offense against left-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 88.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Buster Posey (C, SF) - $3800

Buster Posey looks be a great value pick at the catcher position. He has been one of the rare sources of consistent production from this barren slot and currently holds a reasonable price too. Posey will face opposing pitcher Zack Greinke at home. He heads into Monday with three straight multi-hit games and is also a career 8 for 23 against Greinke.

Edwin Encarnacion (1B, TOR) - $5000

As mentioned earlier, Edwin Encarnacion should be a great play against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman on the road. On the year, Encarnacion holds a wRC+ of 145 against right-handed pitching. He has been incredibly consistent since the All Star Break, holding a .332 average with 17 home runs. Also note that Encarnacion is a career 15 for 46 with 2 home runs against Tillman.

Neil Walker (2B, PIT) - $3100

Neil Walker is a dirt cheap option at second base against opposing pitcher Lance Lynn at home. Walker holds a wOBA of .340 against right-handed pitching on the season and carries a power potential that is rare for this position. Lynn on the other hand has struggled with his control as of late. Note that Walker is also a career 14 for 38 with three home runs against Lynn.

Josh Donaldson (3B, TOR) - $5400

If you grabbed Encarnacion as your first baseman, don’t hesitate to pair him up with teammate Josh Donaldson as your third baseman. Donaldson is absolutely worth the price tag against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman at home. He holds a wRC+ of 149 against right-handed pitching on the year, and is also a career 7 for 20 with one home run against Tillman.

Carlos Correa (SS, HOU) - $4700

Carlos Correa has put together an incredible season in just a short few months since being called up. Correa will face opposing pitcher Roenis Elias on the road. Correa has dominated left-handed pitching with a wRC+ of .375. The home run potential from the shortstop position is worth the price tag, so look for Correa in all DraftKings formats.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Starling Marte (OF, PIT) - $4200

Starling Marte looks to be another great value pick against opposing pitcher Lance Lynn at home. Marte holds a wOBA of .343 against right-handed pitching, and has been extremely hot as of late. He is 16 for his last 38 with two home runs. Marte also has some good career numbers against Lynn, as he has gone 8 for 21 in his career.

Jacoby Ellsbury (OF, NYY) - $4100

Jacoby Ellsbury has fallen off the radar in the second half, but he deserves a look based purely on his BVP stats. Ellsbury will face opposing pitcher Rick Porcello at home. Ellsbury is a lifetime 11 for 21 against Porcello. He holds a wOBA of .299 against right-handed pitching on the season and should be a lock for production on Monday.

Rajai Davis (OF, DET) - $3500

Rajai Davis looks to be a quality value pick for smaller competition pools against opposing pitcher Colby Lewis on the road. Davis holds a wRC+ of 101 against right-handed pitching on the season. He has also been hitting very well in the last week, as he is 10 for his last 24 with a home run. Note that Davis is also a career 8 for 22 against Lewis.
