MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/9/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Mookie Betts - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on September 9, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's another busy baseball Monday, but those rebels that started their games 30 minutes early are left off the main slate on both sites. What that leaves us with is six games on the main slate. That seems to be a sweet spot for slate size. I seem to do better on these than the 15-game monsters.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Monday, September 9, 2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

David Festa vs. LAA ($8.6K DraftKings; $8.5K FanDuel)

Festa had two horrible first starts in the majors, but he hasn't given up more than three runs in a start since. The strikeouts are also on the rise with Festa tallying 25 in 19 2/3 innings over his last four starts.

The Angels are striking out at a 26.7% rate against RHP over the last month. They also have the worst wRC (by a mile, which is quite a feat considering the White Sox are still in the league). Festa has the best ceiling on the slate.

Joey Cantillo at CWS ($6.2K DraftKings; $6.9K FanDuel)

SP2 is rough on DraftKings today. When in doubt, attack the White Sox. The White Sox aren't striking out as much, but the rate is still high enough (24.6%) to chase, especially considering the anemic 48 wRC against LHP in the last month. Cantillo won't wow us today, but he should hit double figures on DK against the White Sox.

Also consider: Carlos Rodon vs. KC, Brayan Bello vs. BAL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jazz Chisholm Jr. – 3B, NYY vs. Brady Singer ($5.2K DK; $3.5K FD)

Chisholm has seven steals in the last 10 games. That's enough of a reason to use him. The .368 average and 14 hits are just a bonus.

Josh Naylor – 1B, CLE vs. Nick Nastrini ($4.3K DK; $3.5K FD)

Nastrini throws his four-seamer nearly half the time. Naylor is slugging .572 against four-seamers this year. Nastrini's other three pitches are slider (.548), changeup (.439), and curveball (.360). Naylor has one of the best matchups for hitters tonight.

Spencer Horwitz – 1B/2B, TOR vs. Paul Blackburn ($3.9K DK; $3K FD)

Horwitz has three homers and five RBI over the last two games alone. Blackburn is making his return from the IL tonight and will likely be on a pitch count. I'll take a hot hitter against a guy fresh off the IL any day.

Also consider: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Royce Lewis, Dansby Swanson

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Mookie Betts – OF, LAD vs. Kyle Hendricks ($6.3K DK; $4.2K FD)

Everyone knows that the Kyle Hendricks voodoo only works at home. We need to attack that 7.90 road ERA this year. Mookie is hitting .309 with six homers, 23 RBI, 18 runs scored, and five steals since his return from the IL last month. He has been even better lately with a seven-game hitting streak.

Cedric Mullins – OF, BAL vs. Brayan Bello ($4.6K DK; $3K FD)

It has been a mostly forgettable year for Mullins, but he is getting hot when the Orioles need him. He is hitting .417 over the last eight games with two homers, two steals, and six RBI in that span. His season-long numbers leave a lot to be desired, but I'll ride the hot streak in Fenway.

Pete Crow-Armstrong – OF, CHC vs. Walker Buehler ($3.5K DK; $2.7K FD)

PCA is hitting .343 with a homer, seven RBI, 10 runs scored, and three steals in the last 10 games. He was struggling at the end of July, but since then PCA is hitting .328 with five homers and five steals. I like the price against a struggling Walker Buehler.

Also consider: Aaron Judge, Ian Happ, Taylor Ward

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Guardians vs. Nick Nastrini

2. Dodgers vs. Kyle Hendricks

3. Cubs vs. Walker Buehler
