The middle rounds of fantasy drafts are essential, as fantasy managers use the middle of the draft to build around their core players. During the middle rounds, managers can afford to take some risks on a variety of different players, including forgotten veterans, players returning from injuries, or even skilled players with potential playing time concerns. It's essential to have at least a handful of sleeper targets at each position heading into your fantasy football drafts, no matter the format. Here are some tight ends for you to consider during the middle of the draft for this season.

Tucker Kraft, Packers, Fantasy Football Outlook
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft enjoyed a nice sophomore season. He posted a 50-707-7 line and set new career highs across the board. Kraft would finish 2024 as the PPR TE10. In the immediate aftermath of Green Bay's season, head coach Matt LaFleur lamented the fact that the team did not further utilize Kraft and expressed his desire to further incorporate him into Green Bay's offense moving forward. LaFleur has echoed those sentiments several times throughout the offseason as well.
Nothing is stopping Tucker Kraft from being a top 5 TE in the 2025 NFL season.. 📈👀

However, the team used a first-round pick to select wide receiver Matthew Golden in the 2025 NFL Draft. The addition of Golden further complicates an already crowded receiving core and marks a potential roadblock toward Kraft earning a larger role. Be that as it may, we should not entirely dismiss LaFleur's comments on Kraft. He runs an offensive system very similar to the one run by Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers. Perhaps the team sees Kraft as their version of George Kittle and plans to utilize him as such. With Kraft's average Yahoo Fantasy ADP of 85 overall, he becomes an excellent value in the middle round of upcoming fantasy drafts.
Evan Engram, Broncos, Fantasy Football Outlook
Tight end Evan Engram, who was the 23rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the New York Giants out of Mississippi, had pretty much always teased high-end fantasy potential in his five years in the Big Apple. He had 722 receiving yards and a career-high six touchdowns in his rookie year, but never again came close to matching or exceeding those marks with the G-Men. Engram put it all together in 2023 in his second year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, setting career-highs in receptions (114), targets (143), and receiving yards (963). It came crashing down in 2024, though, as he played in only nine games due to hamstring and shoulder injuries and had a career-low 7.8 yards per catch before being shut down for the year.
If you miss the top 4 TEs, don’t sleep on Evan Engram. One of my favorite fantasy draft targets in 2025.

Although he's at the dreaded age of 30 in the NFL, Engram is healthy now, and the Denver Broncos team is desperately searching for more production from the tight end position. While nobody should be expecting Engram to see the kind of volume he had in 2023, he should be a reliable target for second-year QB Bo Nix in the intermediate area of the field and in the red zone. He could be Nix's No. 2 target behind Courtland Sutton, although he's probably going to need to find paydirt more often to be a legitimate TE1 in fantasy in 2025. RotoBaller has him ranked 10th at the position in his new digs.
Colston Loveland, Bears, Fantasy Football Outlook
Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland (shoulder) was drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, giving him elite draft capital. Despite his lack of college production, he had suspect QB play last season, so his statistics were misleading. He's an elite route-runner for a tight end and is 6-foot-6, so he has an elite catch radius. The 21-year-old is still recovering from a shoulder injury he played through in 2024 that he had surgery to address in the offseason.

Loveland being thought of so highly by new Bears head coach Ben Johnson says a lot. While the team already has wide receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, and drafted wideout Luther Burden III in the second round of the 2025 draft, Loveland has already taken over the TE1 job as he has run with the starter all throughout training camp and the preseason. Still, it's a crowded pass-catcher room, making it hard to project Loveland's volume. His ADP in redraft leagues is very low, so it shouldn't be hard to draft him in the later rounds. He's immensely talented and will be in the hands of an enormously talented offensive mind in Johnson. So, Loveland has a ton of upside for being relatively affordable. He's absolutely worth drafting and should finish as a top-8 TE this season.
Tyler Warren, Colts, Fantasy Football Outlook
Indianapolis Colts rookie tight end Tyler Warren was selected with the team's 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The first thing that will frustrate fantasy managers about him won't be his talent, but the play of the team's quarterbacks. While Daniel Jones won the starting job over Anthony Richardson Sr., which should boost the overall passing attack, Jones has also struggled at the professional level, potentially limiting Warren's upside. The Colts also have a crowded WR room, and distributed targets were frustratingly thin for fantasy managers last season.
Ideal NFL debut for Tyler Warren last night. Never came off the field, earned 3 targets, caught them all.

Warren had elite rushing upside in college for a tight end, though. There's been speculation that he could be good for six or more rushing touchdowns in his first season. He's a bulldozer with the ball in his hands, and that's good for something. Warren might be a sneaky stud in standard (non-PPR) leagues, where his rushing value is more even with his receiving value, considering that zero points are awarded for receptions. While his QB room could limit his upside on a weekly basis, Warren is worth a look as a TE1 in the later rounds as he could emerge as the team's top option, especially in the middle of the field.
Jake Ferguson, Cowboys, Fantasy Football Outlook
In 2023, Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson stepped up to fill the void as Dak Prescott's safety blanket, hauling in 71 receptions for 761 yards and five touchdowns. His late-season heroics paid off huge dividends for managers who snagged him off the waiver wire as he closed the season as the TE6 from Week 8 on. He was drafted as a middle to low-end TE1 in the eighth round last year, but injuries forced him to miss three games, and Prescott was sidelined for the last nine games of the year. All that misfortune led to a meager 59 receptions for 494 yards, and he failed to hit paydirt a single time.
Jake Ferguson averaged 7.4 targets and 5.4 receptions in seven games with Dak Prescott last season, ranked inside the top five among all tight ends in both categories https://t.co/l2jV2xFaV1

Despite a disappointing 2024, both Ferguson and Prescott are healthy, and the Cowboys added George Pickens in free agency to add a much-needed vertical element to their offense, which will undoubtedly open up the middle of the field for Ferguson to operate and rack up chunk yardage. Ferguson could very well have the season that fantasy managers expected from him last year, only this year, his Yahoo ADP is a screaming value at TE12, drafted somewhere between the 11th and 12th rounds. Early drafters have forgotten that Ferguson finished with the most red zone targets (25) at the position in his breakout year, and we are poised to capitalize on their short-term memories.
