Detroit Red Wings forward Emmitt Finnie scored his first two career goals and added one assist as the team rocked the Edmonton Oilers with a 4-2 victory on Sunday. The 20-year-old potted Detroit's second goal and wrapped up the scoring with an empty-netter. Finnie was a seventh-round pick in 2023, but he's quickly emerged as a legitimate NHL-level contributor. Through his first six career games, Finnie has tallied five points (two goals, three assists). It's helped that Finnie has kicked off the season as Dylan Larkin's running mate on Detroit's first line. The Red Wings captain has racked up 11 points during a season-opening six-game scoring streak.--Taavi Pailk
