BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 39% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Broncos haven't been the same since Peyton Manning retired. They kept middling in mediocrity for years since their Super Bowl 50 victory but arguably hit rock bottom in Week 3 when the Miami Dolphins dropped 70 points on their head. But rookie wideout Marvin Mims Jr. is one of the only glimmers of hope on this roster.
Russell Wilson has been quietly very good this season, and Mims Jr. might just be the key to his revival. Mims hasn't been a fixture in the offense, as he's only appeared in 27% of the Broncos' offensive snaps, but whenever he is out there, you know that big plays are going to happen.
Broncos newcomer WR Marvin Mims is the team's leading receiver with 242 yards and sits a top the NFL in yards per catch (26.9), a star in the making! #BroncosCountry ⭐️ pic.twitter.com/G2rzPrnWI3

But eventually, the Broncos will be forced to give Mims the start. They are in desperation mode and have to salvage whatever's left of this season. Even if they don't, Mims' offensive production is so efficient despite his lack of playing time that it makes him a solid fantasy option. He has averaged a ridiculous 26.9 yards per catch, which is the best in the NFL by far.
Mims has been the WR22 (standard format) so far this season, but that is despite him only having nine yards receiving in his NFL debut in Week 1. Since Week 1, he has been the WR12 and has easily been the Broncos' top fantasy receiver in the past three weeks.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Mims Jr. could be the starting WR at any moment. Until then, he won't be a consistent, week-to-week fantasy option, but picking him up this early would be a smart decision. Usually, when a rookie isn't playing that much despite producing on the field, it's because they don't know the playbook that well. Mims Jr. can learn the playbook more and more as time goes on, which will increase his production and playing time.
