BALLER MOVE: Start In 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is the RB22 for the year, averaging 12.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The second-year missed a couple of games earlier this season because of an injury. He has struggled since returning, averaging 10.7 fantasy points per game over the past three weeks, scoring fewer than 7.5 in all but one contest.
The star running back has struggled with injuries all year. Walker is questionable for today’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a shoulder injury and an illness. While he won’t be 100%, the running back practiced on Friday and is expected to play.
Fantasy players should have a backup option on their roster for the running back. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Walker will be a game-time decision. If the second-year player can’t suit up, Zach Charbonnet would have top-15 upside.
Seattle faces the Pittsburgh Steelers this afternoon in a critical matchup for both teams. The Steelers have struggled to slow down running backs lately, giving up 25 or more fantasy points in three of their past four games.
Fantasy players should feel confident starting Walker against Pittsburgh, assuming he plays. Make sure you have a backup option on the roster in case the running back is a last-minute inactive.
