Jakobi Meyers fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit Jakobi Meyers for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: You're really hoping for garbage time in this one. Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) lost his starting quarterback Aidan O'Connell (thumb) to injured reserve last week. He was replaced by Gardner Minshew II, who proceeded to turn the ball over four times.

At least he seemed to indicate via Twitter that he would play this week. But he's playing against the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a nightmare matchup. He wasn't intended to be the team's WR1, but he's been thrust into that role with the departure of Davante Adams now.
There are probably already a million articles saying that he will have a lot of volume so he should be started, but fantasy managers should understand that it's possible for all the receivers on a team to be bad fantasy options. KC has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

He's a good receiver. But he's in a depleted offense struggling with injuries and missing some of their key playmakers. He's a risky player to start. His QB turned the ball over four times against a much weaker defense in Week 8.
