Is Austin Ekeler Hurt Or Healthy?
Austin Ekeler has been a tremendous fantasy producer this season. Ekeler leads the NFL with 16 total TDs. He's amassed 759 rushing yards and 647 receiving yards. The Chargers' star is the overall fantasy RB1 in PPR formats.
Unfortunately, Ekeler has popped up on the L.A. injury report this week with a knee issue. The 27-year-old has been limited in both Wednesday and Thursday practice sessions this week with the injury.
Fantasy Football Outlook For Austin Ekeler In Week 17?
This is not what Ekeler's fantasy managers want to be dealing with ahead of "Championship Week". The Chargers' RB has been fantasy gold this season and is likely the reason why many GMs are in their league finals this week.
We don't want to hit the panic button just yet, but Ekeler's status for a Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams is a concern. The Chargers have already locked up a playoff spot and have little incentive to gamble with Ekeler's health over the final two games of the regular season.
Ekeler managers should monitor his Friday practice status closely. If he's active against the lowly Rams, fantasy managers must start him.
