BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 46% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Let's start in reverse order. Jonnu Smith has played more than 50% of the Patriots' offensive snaps in just two games this season, including last Sunday's, though he only got 5+ targets in one of those and this last weekend those dropped all the way down to only two. Hunter Henry, on the other hand, has yet to fall below a 63% snap share on the year, and his usage is growing by the week--same as his production as a fresh member of the Pats.
Henry's fantasy tallies have kept improving every passing week as he kicked the year off with 6.1 PPR points, then improved to 6.2, 8.6, 13.2, and finally 19.5, and his second TE1-finish in a row while at it. Henry and rookie QB Mac Jones seem to be growing closer and more confident in each other with each game they play together. Henry has logged 5+ targets in three games straight, has caught 5, 4, and 6 passes in those three, and has now scored touchdowns on back-to-back outings against Tampa and Houston.
The tight end position was always going to be a headache for fantasy GMs out there as the Pats brought not only one, but two TE1 from years prior to town. That was the case for the first three weeks of the season, sure, but things are looking clearer now and much better for Henry's upside rather than Jonnu's. We still need one game or two of this type of production to label Henry an All-League WW-target and starter, but we're getting there and you might not find Henry available for free past next weekend (already rostered in 46% Yahoo leagues).
