Gus Edwards' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit running back Gus Edwards for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: While electric rookie Keaton Mitchell has been getting all the hype of late, it's the "Gus Bus" that continues to chug along as the true engine of the Baltimore Ravens backfield. Edwards has been a red zone machine over the past month. He's racked up an eye-opening 15 carries inside the 20 since Week 8 -- the second most in the NFL -- and has capitalized with six rushing TDs over that timeframe.

Edwards is never going to be considered one of the league's most dynamic runners, but he is effective. His 4.2 yards per carry is higher than Travis Etienne Jr., Josh Jacobs, and many other notable backs. Edwards quietly stands as the overall fantasy RB6 (Half PPR) at this point. He's certainly been the beneficiary of positive TD regression, though his goal line role looks to be secure.
He should find ample red zone opportunities in Week 12 against a Chargers defense that's struggled to stop anything this season and has allowed seven rushing TDs in 10 games. Fantasy managers can feel comfortable about hopping aboard the "Gus Bus" as an RB2 this week.
