BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Anthony Richardson has not disappointed so far. In fact, he has exceeded all expectations. However, injuries have plagued him in his young career, and now that he's set to miss at least a month of action, the Colts will have to rely on "Minshew Mania."
Gardner Minshew has never been a bad NFL quarterback. Far from it. He will never be a full-time starter for a good team due to his weak arm and lack of size but his stats have been pretty good for a backup QB. He has a career 46-15 TD-INT ratio and finished 18th and 16th in QB fantasy points per game in his two seasons as a starter respectively.

What really benefits Minshew here is the Colts' weapons around him. Jonathan Taylor is back and fully committed to the team while Zack Moss is in the midst of a breakout season. Minshew is also known to force throws to top receivers and Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs can help him rack up passing yards.
Minshew has thrown more passes than Richardson in three of the Colts' first five games of the season and has generally looked very sharp. In his lone start, he threw a touchdown and led the Colts to an improbable overtime win against the Ravens.
Minshew is also familiar with the system as he is being coached by Shane Steichen, who was the offensive coordinator of the Eagles for the two years that Minshew was there. Minshew has finished as the QB9, QB17, QB5, and QB16 throughout his four starts under Steichen in Philadelphia. Next week, he will face the Jaguars, the team that drafted him in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft. With revenge on his mind, Minshew could be a solid streamer if you don't have any good options at QB.
