26-year-old Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis put up some surprising numbers in his first real season as an MLB starter. In 559 at-bats, the four-year pro hit seven HR to go along with 63 runs scored and 50 RBI (both top-20 marks among SS). Galvis also flashed some speed potential as he registered 10 SB while only being caught once. While the 2016 Phillies roster is easily the worst in the MLB, their middle infield depth is beyond intriguing - especially with top SS prospect J.P. Crawford making noise in the minors. Barring a midseason Crawford call-up, Freddy Galvis could emerge as a solid SS2 option in standard leagues, although he'll need to be more active on the base paths in order to make that happen.
