Week 6 Kicker Rankings Outlooks
Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker will face the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in Week 6. Butker is coming off an underwhelming performance, where he knocked through four extra points and attempted zero field goals. The Chiefs scored 28 points on four touchdowns, leaving Butker with just PATs. This week's matchup against Detroit should grant Butker far more opportunities to score.
The Lions are averaging 34.8 points per game this season, the highest in the league. If Kansas City wants to win this game, they will likely have to put up as many points as possible against Detroit. Butker likely won't go two games in a row without a field goal attempt, and he should have more than a few extra-point attempts as well. Butker is ranked K6 in our RotoBaller rankings, making him a strong start this week.
Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson remains a low-upside option for fantasy managers despite a potentially favorable Week 6 matchup against the Titans. The Raiders' offense has struggled to sustain drives, posting the league's second-highest turnover rate at 18.5%, and quarterback Geno Smith's inconsistency compounds Carlson's limited scoring opportunities.
Even in games with red zone chances, the Raiders' inefficiency reduces Carlson's fantasy ceiling, making him a risky play. Until Las Vegas' offense becomes more consistent and turnover-prone plays are minimized, Carlson is unlikely to provide the reliable fantasy production owners hope for, and those with stronger options at the position should continue looking elsewhere for week-to-week stability.
Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker remains perfect this season and is poised for a high-volume week against a vulnerable Miami Dolphins defense. Although the Chargers' offense has recently struggled, with fewer red-zone opportunities due to penalties and turnovers, the favorable matchup should help them move the ball more effectively.
Kicker consistency is essential in fantasy, and Dicker is a proven asset capable of making long field goals, as demonstrated by his 55-yard kick last week. The hope is that the offense regains its rhythm, but even if they settle for field goals outside the 20, Dicker offers a high floor. RotoBaller projects Dicker as K4 this week. He is a clear must-start and should be included in all starting lineups.
Matthew Wright, Tennessee Titans
With kicker Joey Slye (calf) officially out for Week 6 due to a calf injury, the Tennessee Titans will turn to Matthew Wright to handle the kicking duties on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Wright has appeared in 29 games across five NFL seasons for six different teams, making 55 out of 63 (87.3%) of his career field goal attempts.
Wright appeared in five games spread across three teams in 2024, including two with Tennessee. He made 15 out of 16 field goal attempts last year, although his longest make was from just 50 yards out. Wright profiles as a kicker for fantasy managers to avoid in Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jake Bates, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates has made six of his eight field goal attempts so far this season and has not yet missed an extra-point try. Playing for a Lions team that has averaged 34.8 points per game, Bates currently leads the NFL in extra-point attempts for the second straight season.
The 26-year-old will face the Kansas City Chiefs on the road in Week 6. Kansas City is allowing an average of 21.4 points per contest, so this could be a more difficult game for Detroit to put up points. Still, Bates profiles as a low-end starting kicker option in Week 6.
