Jerry Jeudy Injury Update

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) is expected to miss several weeks with a moderate hamstring injury that he suffered in training camp practice on Thursday. It will put Jeudy's status for the Week 1 regular season opener against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in question, but there is optimism that it's not a long-term injury for one of the team's top offensive weapons.

The 24-year-old could be listed as questionable against the Raiders. If Jeudy misses the first game of the regular season, Courtland Sutton and rookie Marvin Mims Jr. would serve as the top-two pass-catchers for quarterback Russell Wilson. Tight end Greg Dulcich would also have a higher DFS ceiling. When healthy, Jeudy is a low-end WR2 in fantasy and has the potential to lead the Broncos in targets in 2023.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Injury Update

Seattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba (wrist) has a three- to four-week timetable to recover from a slight fracture in his wrist that he suffered in last weekend's preseason game, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is saying it sounds like Smith-Njigba is a long shot to be ready for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Head coach Pete Carroll has a reputation for being overly optimistic with injuries, so fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if the impressive rookie isn't ready to go for the start of the regular season. The 21-year-old first-round pass-catcher will be the team's No. 3 wideout behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett when healthy, making him an upside WR3/4 pick in upcoming fantasy drafts, despite the injury.

Cooper Kupp Injury Update

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) missed a few weeks of training camp practice with a hamstring injury but returned to the field this week and is reportedly progressing well. Kupp missed eight games last season after suffering a high-ankle sprain so the new injury was concerning.

However, the 30-year-old wideout said he's on track to face Seattle in Week 1. Kupp was on pace to finish as the fantasy WR1 for the second-straight year before being knocked out of the lineup last season, so he is expected to contend for a top-five finish once again in 2023. Despite the injury risk, he should see a massive target share with a weak group of pass-catchers behind him.

Terry McLaurin Injury Update

The Washington Commanders have expressed optimism about the status of wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe), who suffered a turf-toe injury in the preseason game on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens, but he is uncertain for the regular-season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, according to sources. McLaurin will work to be ready for Week 1, but it's too early to say if he'll be active to kick off the season.

His injury is typically a multiple-week injury. Dyami Brown would enter three-receiver sets to open the year if McLaurin isn't able to go against the Cardinals. It's not what fantasy managers want hanging over McLaurin with many drafts in the coming weeks, but he should still be considered at least a low-end WR2 as Washington's top wideout when healthy.

Breece Hall Injury Update

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) will not participate in the team's final preseason game against the Giants on Saturday. The second-year back is recovering from a torn ACL and was just activated off of the PUP list last week.

He was participating in 11-on-11 drills on Tuesday. Signs point to the star runner being ready for Week 1 of the regular season, but the addition of Dalvin Cook complicates his outlook for fantasy football. With the team planning on easing him back into game action, Hall is slipping in fantasy football drafts and finds himself with an ADP of 39th overall.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury Update

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) is expected to return to practice next week. St. Brown injured his ankle early last week in a joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars and has been rehabbing since.

He will not play against the Carolina Panthers in preseason action this weekend but he is close to a return to the field. According to head coach Dan Campbell, St. Brown's ankle is "doing great". The Lions expect their star wideout to be ready to play in Week 1 when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs. (DetroitLions.com)

Mark Andrews Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Mark Andrews (undisclosed) is dealing with something that "isn't serious." There's not much to see here, as Andrews should be just fine moving forward and for the start of the regular season in Week 1.

It's worth noting the Pro Bowl tight end missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but again, he seems to be just fine and not at risk of missing meaningful action. At this point in the offseason, organizations are going to play it safe with their key stars ahead of the regular season. His absence is likely just precautionary.

Miles Sanders Injury Update

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (groin) returned to practice on Monday after missing a handful of practices. Speaking with the media on Tuesday, Sanders said he's "absolutely confident" he'll be ready for the Week 1 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

That's great news for the Panthers and fantasy managers who have already selected him in drafts. The Panthers-Falcons matchup should see a battle of the rushing attacks given the inexperience of Bryce Young and Desmond Ridder, so it'll be interesting to see how Sanders performs in his new offense. It's worth noting Chuba Hubbard (ankle) is also back at practice.

T.J. Hockenson Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (back), who has been dealing with an ear infection during training camp, missed most of practice on Wednesday with lower-back stiffness. Hockenson's ear infection has gotten better, but now he's dealing with a back injury that has him listed as day-to-day. The Vikings aren't ruling out a return for Hockenson as early as Thursday for a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals.

"We're at that time," head coach Kevin O'Connell said, "where we just want to be smart with guys we know we're going to be relying on and make sure that their preparation for [the regular season] is what we want." As long as the 26-year-old is ready to roll for Week 1 of the regular season, fantasy managers should consider him a top-five tight end in Minnesota's pass-happy offense. (ESPN.com)

Jordan Addison Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (head) entered the concussion protocol last week, but he participated in team drills in a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday. That said, it appears he's good to go and healthy.

The No. 23 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft is expected to contend for the No. 1 rookie fantasy receiver. The Vikings have a high-powered passing offense led by Kirk Cousins and its mediocre defense will likely force them into high-scoring shootouts. Justin Jefferson will clearly continue to operate as the team's No. 1 option in the passing game, but there is plenty of volume up for grabs for Addison and tight end T.J. Hockenson.

Treylon Burks Injury Update

TennesseeTitans.com's Jim Wyatt writes that he doesn't know if Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) is going to be ready for the start of the 2023 regular season on Sept. 10 against the New Orleans Saints, or what exactly the receiving corps will look like in Week 1 with Burks and Kyle Philips (knee) currently injured.

Most likely, it will be DeAndre HopkinsChris Moore and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in three-wide sets in Week 1 if Burks is unable to play after suffering a sprained LCL in his left knee in a training camp practice last week. The 23-year-old was only expected to miss a few weeks, but the Titans could play it safe and hold him out for the season opener. The addition of Hopkins made Burks less of a second-year breakout candidate in an offense that should still rely heavily on the run. (TennesseeTitans.com)
