Starting Pitcher (SP) Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Points Leagues - March Updates (2025)

Zack Wheeler - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB News, DFS Picks, Betting

Top 225 fantasy baseball starting pitcher (SP) rankings for points leagues, updated March 2025. Crush your drafts with updated starting pitcher H2H points rankings.

For fantasy managers looking for a consensus SP rankings list for points leagues, we've got you covered with our updated 2025 fantasy baseball starting pitcher rankings and tiers for points leagues and H2H points leagues. Spring training is soon coming to an end, and the heart of the fantasy baseball draft season is here. In recent years, fantasy baseball points leagues have become even more popular than traditional roto leagues. Points leagues do not have a standard scoring among the platforms, especially regarding scoring for pitchers.

Starting pitchers in points leagues almost always gets pushed up in drafts as they usually score more points at the end of the year than hitters. While there is plenty of depth in starting pitching this year, nine SPs are ranked in the top 40 overall in our recent points rankings. Find out where key starters such as Dylan Cease, Yusei Kikuchi, Zac Gallen, Spencer Schwellenbach, and more are listed in our ranks.

The SP rankings below are specifically designed for points leagues, put together by RotoBaller's MLB points expert Nicklaus Gaut. We also have many other fantasy baseball rankings, tools, and resources to help you win in 2025, including our constantly-updated fantasy baseball points rankings for all positions. SP Points Rankings for Fantasy Baseball (March Updates)

These rankings are for points and head-to-head points leagues. You can also see our roto fantasy baseball rankings.

Before we get to the rankings, let's quickly review points leagues and how they differ from other formats. Typically, points leagues have different league settings and scoring formats than other fantasy baseball leagues. Different MLB stats and categories are assigned different point values, and those can vary by individual league settings. Those different point buckets are then added up over the course of a scoring period or season.

In many cases, hitters who walk more and strike out less are preferred for points leagues. Also, many league formats tend to give more weight to pitchers than normal, as they can easily accrue points through categories like Innings Pitched. These are the general frameworks that we use for our points league rankings below, and explain why they look different than more standard 5x5 roto fantasy baseball rankings.
