The offseason is over, and spring training games and videos are once again filling our lives and our social media timelines. It's a glorious time of year, isn't it? As we inch closer to the start of the regular season, I wanted to provide an update to my top 2026 fantasy baseball prospect rankings to reflect the movement over the last two months.

These MLB prospect rankings are geared toward standard 5x5 fantasy baseball leagues (AVG) and consider many factors, including performance to date, scouting grades, future projection, and video and data analysis. Or, as I like to call it ... "PPP," which stands for profile, performance, and projection.

While these dynasty fantasy baseball prospect rankings are more slanted toward long-term fantasy value, proximity and short-term value do play a part in where a prospect lands in my rankings. If you want to see the full top 500, then head on over to my Patreon!

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Notes

Edward Florentino, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates

While everyone is gushing over Konnor Griffin, Edward Florentino has quietly risen to elite prospect status as well, and now finds himself knocking on the door to my Top-10 overall. In 83 games between the Complex Level and Low-A last season, Florentino slashed .290/.400/.548 with 23 doubles, 16 home runs, and 35 steals. He seemed unfazed by his mid-season promotion to Low-A, too, posting a .380 OBP and .503 SLG in 54 games at the level.

Overall, Florentino's profile is highly intriguing for fantasy purposes. He's a plus hitter who recorded an impressive 85% contact rate, 5.6% SwStr rate, and 13.9% walk rate in his Low-A stint last summer. There's also above-average to plus raw power potential with plenty of projection left on his frame. If he does fill out more, Florentino might wind up as a fringe-average to below-average runner, but I believe he'll still be able to provide at least 10-15 steals annually.

Even with the top of prospect rankings being loaded with talent right now, Florentino has forced his way into the elite prospect conversation, and very well could be a top-5 fantasy prospect by the end of the 2026 season.

Walker Jenkins, OF, Minnesota Twins

Over the last couple of years, Chase DeLauter has been dinged in prospect rankings due to his durability concerns. It's time we do the same with Walker Jenkins. Once again, Jenkins is out of action with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, which will likely cost him the first week or two of the Triple-A regular season. This comes after two straight years of fewer than 90 games played, with 82 in 2024 and 84 in 2025.

In 84 games last season, Jenkins slashed .286/.399/.451 with 10 home runs, 17 steals, and a 13.5% walk rate. He's consistently flexed above-average raw power, and did so again in 2025 with a 43.8% hard-hit rate and 15.6% barrel rate in Triple-A, while also having above-average speed, above-average contact skills, and a great approach.

As I've said for a while with DeLauter, there's no denying that Jenkins is a Top-10 prospect talent. But his durability has become a major issue, to the point where I felt it was necessary to bump him outside of my Top-10.

Luis De Leon, LHP, Baltimore Orioles

Every year, when I go through my team prospect rankings during the offseason, there always seems to be a handful of players I come away much higher or much lower on. One of the players this offseason that I came away much higher on was Baltimore left-handed pitching prospect, Luis De Leon, who now sits in the back-end of my Top-100 overall.

De Leon finished 2025 with a 3.30 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 87 1/3 innings across three levels with a 10.9% walk rate and 28.5% strikeout rate. One area of concern has been inconsistent command and control throughout his professional career, but with his stuff, De Leon could absolutely thrive as long as he can keep the walk rate in the 10% range or so.

As for the stuff, you could make an argument that Luis De Leon has the best pure stuff in the entire Baltimore organization. As a 6-foot-3 left-hander, De Leon's fastball can run up to 97-98 while sitting 95-96 mph comfortably. His secondaries are dynamic as well, with a splitter, changeup, and slider all flashing above-average to plus.

And on top of that, De Leon is able to generate plenty of groundballs, with a 56.9% overall rate and 62.9% in Double-A last season. He was the only pitcher with a ground-ball rate above 55% and a SwStr rate above 15% last season while pitching at least 80 innings.

Ralphy Velazquez, 1B, Cleveland Guardians

My previous Ralphy Velazquez ranking was too low, so I'm rectifying that this month. Velazquez slashed .265/.342/.497 with 28 doubles, nine triples, and 22 home runs in 544 plate appearances last season, including an impressive .330/.405/.589 slash line in 28 Double-A games late in the season. That was as a young 20-year-old facing older competition in a more pitcher-friendly league.

Velazquez will need his bat to carry him as a 1B/DH-only type, but I believe that could be the case. In 2025, Velazquez made contact at a 77% clip with a 9.6% walk rate, 19.1% strikeout rate, and a 10.9% SwStr rate. He also possesses plus or better raw power with the potential to be a 25-30 homer bat down the road.

I'm not sure if we'll see Velazquez in Cleveland this season, but if he continues hitting well in the upper minors, he'll likely push top-30 overall prospect status by the end of the season. He's a solid buy right now in dynasty leagues.

Zac Veen, OF, Colorado Rockies

When the offseason began, Zac Veen wasn't a prospect I anticipated being back inside my top-125 overall to start the 2026 season. But after hearing all the reports about how he got clean and added additional bulk, I'm more than willing to buy back in for dynasty leagues as the profile is very fantasy-friendly.

In 90 Triple-A games last season, Veen slashed .289/.354/.468 with 11 home runs and 15 steals. While we'll have to wait and see if Veen is still aggressive on the basepaths at his new size, he's always been an above-average or better runner who has 36 steals combined over the last two seasons in 138 games.

Veen has also flexed above-average raw power and has a long home run already this spring. In Triple-A last season, Veen had a 90.7 mph AVG EV and 47.9% hard-hit rate with slightly above-average contact rates. Again, this is a fantasy-friendly profile, and given the perceived value and the subsequent price tag, Veen is a good low-cost dynasty buy right now.
