FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (4/5/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Jake Finnen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 4/5/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Six games on tonight’s slate and it’s a good one. Starting with Pacers-Warriors, which should be one of the lower scoring games tonight, we already have a one of the slower-paced teams facing off against a potent offense. This game will set the theme of the night which is perfect meshing between team’s strengths and weaknesses. The Cavaliers and Wizards are known for having close games, and the Rockets and Trail Blazers both prefer to rain down threes. The Bucks and Nets have similar team structure with smaller lineups anchored by a versatile center.

Then we have the two games of the night. Four teams all fighting for the same few postseason spots. The Timberwolves and Nuggets NEED this win and you can bet neither team will concede without a vigorous fight. There are a decent number of injuries around the league so make sure you double-check your lineup before rostering superstars. Assuming the top teams have a higher chance of resting there to players, consider John Wall, Khris Middleton, Otto Porter, Kevin Love, DeAndre Jordan and Rudy Gobert are my go-to players for tonight.

Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/5/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Eric Bledsoe - PG, vs. BKN ($8,200)

Eric Bledsoe has been on a hot streak lately and that shouldn’t change Wednesday night. He continues to facilitate the offense and since his shot has been falling his upside increases. Bledsoe contributes across the board statistically and the Bucks want him and Giannis finding shooters. The number of Bucks playmakers caps his upside but as a mid-top tier point guard, Bledsoe will get you the most for your money. It doesn’t hurt that the Nets rank 28th against opposing guards

Lou Williams - SG @ UTA ($6,600)

Nothing against the Jazz defense but you’ve probably heard this from every announcer that calls a game Lou Williams scores in. He is a “professional scorer.” It’s not inaccurate just overplayed. Williams will score against whoever and he needs to be hitting from the perimeter to open his game. The Jazz don’t give up a lot of points in general but they aren’t holding Williams if he is on his game. The Jazz have a better chance of limiting everyone other than Williams and allowing him to rack up a smooth 30 points, something he has not done in nine games.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Wilson Chandler - SF vs. MIN ($4,900)

Wilson Chandler always fills the stat sheet but since he plays the glue guy role, his box score is never too appealing. Regardless, he always gets opportunities and consistently produces. The extent that he produces changes rapidly but in games like these, where more experience is going to be the deciding factor, Chandler has upside. There is a lot of pressure on this game and assuming every player will be on the ball is optimistic. Although he doesn’t and won’t shoot that many threes, he has taken six attempts in the last 14 games he has played. It could be better, but for someone with a low price on a night that lacks value, Chandler can be the ideal sleeper pick.

Taj Gibson - PF at DEN ($5,100)

Building off what I said previously said about experience, Taj Gibson is just as good if not a better option. Chandler has the potential to do a bit of everything each night, but Gibson is always a double-double threat. His style adheres more to the Nuggets weaknesses and he is going to thrive in the paint. The Nuggets have Paul Millsap which poses a huge problem, but Gibson has proved time and time again that if he wants an offensive rebound or second chance points, he’s getting it.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Jarrett Allen - C at MIL ($5,000)

It’s obvious at this point that the Nets run small and the Bucks frontcourt lacks defense. John Henson is a capable defender but doesn’t have the size to be a true paint protector. Jarrett Allen doesn’t qualify as someone who has an advantage over Henson, but he should have the space to get rebounds and get to the rim. Allen is still developing and has shown flashes of being a consistent and dominant big man down the stretch. Right now, he is just a double-double threat and barely that since Brooklyn runs smaller lineups most of the time. Even then, the Bucks ranks 29th against opposing forwards and just that is enough to sell me on Allen for tonight.

Also Consider: Nikola Jokic vs. MIN ($11,000)
