FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (4/28/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Stan Son highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 4/28/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We've got a 10-game slate for Wednesday. Three teams (BOS, CHA, and POR) are playing the second leg of a back-to-back.

There are two games at 7:00 pm (ORL @ CLE and ATL @ PHI), three games at 7:30 pm (CHA @ BOS, LAL @ WAS, and CHI @ NY), one game at 8:00 pm (SA @ MIA), two games at 9:00 pm (POR@ MEM and NO @ DEN), and the late-night hammer at 10:00 pm are UTA @ SAC and LAC @ PHX.

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/28/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Keep an eye on Rotoballer’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Ja Morant, PG - vs POR ($8,100)

Morant has gone for 43.2, 44.1, 61.5, 34.2, and 71.6 FD points in the last five games. Two of those games were against POR, and he put up 44.1 and 61.5 against them. POR is 29th in defensive efficiency and boosts the FPPM to point guards by 6.07% above league average.

Facundo Campazzo, PG - vs NO ($4,400)

Campazzo has played 30, 33, and 31 minutes in the last three games as the Nuggets have been decimated by injuries to the backcourt. The usage rate is low so the points will rarely be voluminous. He will dish out assists and get steals, though. He's essentially the swap meet version of  TJ McConnell.

Bradley Beal, SG - vs LAL ($9,500)

I'm not enamored with the options at the top of the shooting guard position. Granted, a bunch of them are out due to injury. The matchup isn't great as the Lakers are still first in defensive efficiency and are tough against shooting guards. Beal has been remarkably consistent, though, scoring at least 45 FD points in each of the last six games with one 50-burger. The usage rate has been 33 over that span and he's averaged 25 shots per game.

Cody Martin, SG - at BOS ($4,500)

Martin has played 30 and 31 minutes the last two games, producing 30.1 and 40.5 FD points. He's benefitted from all the injuries the Hornets are experiencing and will get at least one more game in the starting lineup.

Also consider: Russell Westbrook ($11,000), Derrick Rose ($6,200), Marcus Smart ($6,500), Talen Horton-Tucker ($4,600)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Michael Porter, SF - vs NO ($7,700)

Porter has been on quite the heater recently, contributing 46.4, 57.2, and 42.5 FD points over the last three games. The usage rate has been 27, 31, and 25. The season-average is 21. Now he faces a Pelicans team that plays at the 13th-fastest pace and is 27th in defensive efficiency.

Rui Hachimura, PF - vs. LAL ($4,200)

The Lakers are a good defensive team but Anthony Davis is out for this one, so that makes the matchup a little easier for Hachimura. With that said, he's just too cheap for the expected minutes and he should get. He played 31 minutes last game after returning from a four-game absence. He should get over 30 in this one. On the season, he is averaging 0.76 FD points per minute.

Julius Randle, PF - vs CHI ($9,900)

Randle is coming off a 31.2 FD performance. That was against the Suns who are 6th in defensive efficiency. Prior to that, he went for at least 60 FD points in three of five games. The crazy thing for Randle has been that he's averaged 41.2 minutes over the last seven games. He averages 1.27 FD points per minute. You do the math.

Robert Covington, PF - at MEM ($5,000)

It's been a tumultuous season for Covington. Case in point, over the last six games, he's gone for fewer than 20 FD in three games while going for 35.7 in his most recent one. It's been the points or lack of. He's been grabbing rebounds, contributing defensive stats, and playing a ton of minutes. The Grizzlies are 7th in pace and boost the FPPM to power forwards by 8.1% above league average.

Also consider: Jimmy Butler. ($9,500), Keldon Johnson ($5,000), PJ Washington ($7,400), Daniel Theis ($5,500)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Jusuf Nurkic, C - at MEM ($8,300)

Nurkic is back! He went for 57.9, 53.3, and 32 FD points in the last three games. He played 29, 29, and 19 minutes. The 19-minute game was due to a blowout. Those 50-burgers he put up? Against the Grizzlies. Cue up the good times once again.

Mo Bamba, C - at CLE ($5,700)

Bamba isn't starting and only plays around 20 minutes per game, but he averages 1.23 FD points per minute. He did play 24 and 27 minutes in two of the past three games but Wendell Carter Jr. missed one of them while playing limited minutes in the other. I hate the price but he's the value I felt most comfortable with. Hopefully he gets minutes in the mid-20s.

Also consider: Nikola Jokic ($11,100), Joel Embiid ($10,500)
