Devin Singletary's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 18 (2023). Should you should start or sit Devin Singletary for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: The Houston Texans head into Week 18 with a pretty simple playoff scenario ahead of them: a win over the Indianapolis Colts would send the Texans to the postseason in head coach DeMeco Ryans and quarterback C.J. Stroud's first year with the team.
There's also another key player in his first year with Houston: running back Devin Singletary, who came over to the Texans from the Buffalo Bills this offseason. Originally expected to back up Dameon Pierce, Singletary's strong play earned him an increasing role as the season went along.
Last week, Singletary had 16 carries for 80 yards in a win over the Tennessee Titans. That was the third time in the last four games that Singletary has double-digit carries, and he's recorded 65 or more rushing yards in all three of those. The only poor showing in that stretch was against the Browns.
Up next is a Colts team that allows the sixth-most rushing yards in the NFL. Houston's offense will likely focus on the passing game this week, but Singletary should get enough touches to return high-end RB2 value for fantasy managers.
