BALLER MOVE: Start in 8+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been a huge part of his team's offense recently, finishing with at least 60 receiving yards in four of the past five games. In Week 9 against Tampa, he had 10 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown and then last week he followed that up with four catches for 71 yards in the win against the Bengals.
This week, Schultz plays an Arizona Cardinals defense that's allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. On paper, that's a bad sign, but in reality, Schultz should be in line for another strong week.
Why? Because wide receiver Noah Brown is out with a knee injury. Brown has back-to-back games with over 150 receiving yards. With Houston's offense playing incredibly well recently because of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, those targets and yards are going to go somewhere. It'd make sense if at least some are directed toward Schultz, especially when he has been productive against defenses that play similar scheme to Arizona.
While he's not a high-end TE1 play, he's worth playing if you don't have a top-five tight end on your fantasy roster. Even if you do, there's flex appeal for Schultz based on his recent uptick in production.
