Let's get ready for some more NASCAR action! These daily fantasy NASCAR rankings for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway were determined by a combination of DraftKings and FanDuel prices, and the projected DFS points each driver is expected to earn in this week’s race.
Each week, we'll present you the weekly rankings, followed by some key analysis of those rankings.

NASCAR Rankings Analysis
Hey, everyone! Welcome back to RotoBaller's free driver rankings. You might have noticed we didn't have these last week, because same-day qualifying at a track that had never hosted a Cup race made everything really complicated.
But we're back this week to talk about the longest race on the Cup schedule: the Coca-Cola 600.
This is the ultimate race of attrition. 100 miles longer than any other race on the circuit, mechanical things will fail, and drivers who you don't expect big runs from will find themselves up front. Heck, this has been a track that occasionally produces surprise winners: Austin Dillon in 2017, David Reutimann in 2009, and Casey Mears in 2007 all spring to mind.
There was qualifying this week, so let's just quickly run through some observations about the starting lineup and how it applies to fantasy:
- Kyle Larson starts on the pole. In a race with 400 laps, if Larson can stay up front, he could have a huge fantasy day. He's already won at a similar track, Vegas, this season, and in that race he led 103 of 267 laps.
- Hendrick cars qualified well. All four start in the top seven. They should be the fastest team this weekend, making them all solid plays if you think they stay up front.
- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. starts second. As much as I want to think this is a turning point for the 47 team and they'll contend for a win, the mixture of Stenhouse's history of wrecking and the huge possibility for negative place differential points makes Stenhouse a tough driver to play. Similarly, Austin Dillon, Daniel Suarez, and Ross Chastain all qualified in the top 10. Do we trust those guys to stay there? Maybe I can make an argument for Dillon based off of track history.
- Not a great day of qualifying for Joe Gibbs Racing, but for DFS purposes, that creates upside. Martin Truex Jr. (8th) is the highest starter there, followed by Denny Hamlin (11th), Christopher Bell (17th), and Kyle Busch (20th). Bubba Wallace is essentially in a JGR car, and he starts 18th.
- Aric Almirola had the worst qualifying run of the drivers who'd usually have speed. Five MPH off the pace, he starts 31st. Good PD target this week, except don't forget that Almirola has not looked good this season. His average finish is just 25.4 and his lone top 10 came at a short track.
- In a race of attrition, maybe you take a swing on Garrett Smithley in the 51 car in a lineup? Starts 36th and has been running at the finish in all eight of his races, with an average finish of 31.4. If you think a lot of cars fall out of this one, then there's a chance someone like Smithley has value.
