Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): Wyndham Championship

Top daily fantasy golf (DFS) lineup picks for the Wyndham Championship. Fantasy PGA expert advice, DFS lineup sleepers and DraftKings starts.

Welcome back RotoBallers! Brooks Koepka was cool as ice capturing the PGA Championship, his third major in a two-year span. This was the eighth straight tournament the winner has won by at least two strokes dating back to the Travelers Championship.

This week I will be providing you with my DraftKings lineup picks for the Wyndham Championship. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups. If anyone has lineup questions before the start of the championship Thursday morning, feel free to contact me via Twitter @SethFinkTV.

Editor's Note: Our friends at Fantasy National have built some incredible DFS Golf lineup tools including a Lineup Optimizer, Stat Engine, Ownership Projections and Course Breakdowns. They are by far the best daily fantasy Golf tools in the industry. Seriously. You can read all about them here and see screenshots.

Wyndham Championship

With the FedEx Cup playoffs one week away, players will make a final push in Greensboro, NC to crack the top 125 of the FedEx Cup standings.

Sedgefield Country Club is a par-70 that plays to around 7,100 yards. It has four par-3's, 10 par-4's, and four par-5's. The greens are bermuda grass with average sizes. This is also a Donald Ross design.

Let's take a look at the stats.

Stat Sedgefield CC Tour Average
Driving Distance 281 283
Driving Accuracy 62% 61%
GIR Percentage 71% 65%
Scrambling Percentage 58% 57%
Three Putts/Round 0.72 0.56

Past winners are Henrik Stenson, Si Woo Kim, Davis Love III, Camilo Villegas, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Webb Simpson, and Arjun Atwal. Stenson was 22-under and Kim was 21-under. Scoring will be high.

The average cut line the past five years has been an average of -1.5

Through the past five PGA's, Simpson has the most strokes gained with 37.73. Bill Haas is next with 30.11. Next comes Rory Sabbatini, 21.97 and Brandt Snedeker, 21.91.

In Vegas, as of Tuesday on sportsbook.ag, Simpson is the  favorite at 11-1. Hideki Matsuyama is 15-1. Stenson is 18-1 .

Stats I'm looking at

With the results, I keyed on the following.

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

High-Priced Players

There are six players this week priced above $10,000: Simpson, Matsuyama, Stenson, Snedeker, Rafa Cabrera Bello, and Shane Lowry.

Simpson ($11,600) - The North Carolina native has had a nice year including winning The Players. But he hasn't finished in the top-10 since the U.S. Open and he's the highest-priced player!?! Nothing against Simpson, but he can't be the highest-priced player. Despite that, I still think he will have a good tournament. He has three top-10's =in the past four years.

Matsuyama ($11,300) - He has not had a top-10 since the Sentry Tournament of Champions the first week of January. Yes, seven months ago. He was fine last week finishing T-35, but you can not pick him at this price.

Stenson ($11,000) - He's been banged up since the U.S. Open and it's shown in his results. He was cut last week at the PGA Championship and his injury makes me nervous.

Snedeker ($10,400) - He's had a propensity to play well at less glamorous events. His putting will come in handy on these bermuda greens. He's a threat to win.

Cabrera Bello ($10,100) - After a rough Open Championship finishing 74th, he's rebounded extremely well with a T-17 at the Bridgestone and T-10 at the PGA. He was also T-5 at this tourney two years ago so I'm not so sure how he's not priced above Matsuyama. He's so under-priced in this spot.

Lowry ($10,000) - Three good showings in a row; T-12 at Canadian Open, T-15 at Barracuda Championship and T-12 last week. He was T-7 here last year. I don't feel good about him, but the numbers say otherwise.

Middle-Priced Players

Sergio Garcia ($9,200) - Man, do I love Sergio this week. He is really struggling and comes in after missing three of his last four cuts. However, he needs a strong finish just to make the FedEx Cup Playoffs as he sits outside the top-125. He knows he needs to play well and will.

Graeme McDowell ($8,500) - G-Mac is another player who sits just outside the top-125 and needs a good showing. He was cut at this tourney last year, but two years ago finished T-5. He has not missed a cut since The Travelers in mid-June. McDowell plays well at Donald Ross designs and he should do the same here.

Chris Kirk ($7,500) - He has not missed a cut since the Houston Open, the first week of April. He's got very good stats (besides for putting, but that can change any tournament). He was T-65 in 2013 and T-46 two years ago.

Low-priced Players

Mackenzie Hughes ($6,800) - Pleasantly surprised to see those his of stats at this price. He comes in off a missed cut and this will be his debut here. But he needs a strong tournament as he sits at 159th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Ricky Barnes ($6,800) - He has not missed a cut in four events. He's had three top-25's in his past four events here. If he could finish in the top-25 again, that's a steal at this price.

Best of luck RotoBallers and be sure to look out for another article coming next week for The Northern Trust!
