CBB DFS: Afternoon DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/9/24)

Armando Bacot CBB DFS ncaa tournament daily fantasy college basketball march madness

Today's afternoon DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/9/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We take a break from the small conference tournaments to concentrate on the end of the regular season for the major conference teams. We have 30 games across three slates today and I will be with you the whole way! This is our last big college basketball Saturday. Next week we have conference tournaments and the weekend after that we have the second round of the NCAA Tournament. We are on to the afternoon slate that features 10 games. It's a little lighter on star power than the main slate, but not much.

We begin in Cincinnati with Marquette visiting Xavier. UCF heads to Fort Worth looking to lick some Toads. Baylor is in Lubbock to face Tech. Clemson heads to Winston-Salem to take on Wake. Georgia heads down to Auburn to face the Tigers. We have Carolina-Duke part deux from Durham. Utah heads out to Oregon to face the Ducks in desperate need of a win. The Wolfpack head up to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers. UConn heads down to Providence to meet the Friars. We end in Charlottesville with the Bees in town.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/9/24, starting at 5 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Devin Carter, Providence ($9.5K)

Carter hasn't been under 30 DraftKings points since December 10 against Brown. He "only" mustered 35.75 DraftKings points against UConn in Storrs the first time around. If that's the floor, I can live with that. Carter is a must-play in cash games and he has cleared 50 DraftKings points five times since Bryce Perkins went down on January 6. The upside is plenty good enough for GPP usage as well.

Stevie Mitchell, Marquette ($6.6K)

Mitchell's minutes have increased exponentially with Tyler Kolek out, but he hasn't seen a significant leap in production yet. However, the two games that Kolek has missed are against Connecticut and Creighton -- the two (other) best teams in the Big East. We should better understand what Mitchell can provide today against a good-but-not-great Xavier team. Mitchell put up 20.5 DraftKings points in 21 minutes in the first meeting with Xavier. He should be in the high 30s for DraftKings points tonight.

Naithan George, Georgia Tech ($5.2K)

The freshman hit a wall in February, having a string of five straight games in which he didn't hit 18 DraftKings points. March has been better for George. He has 31 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the two March games so far. Those aren't great numbers, but they are good enough for this price. George put up 28.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Virginia. There is some solid upside here.

Aden Holloway, Auburn ($4.7K)

Some consistency from the freshman would be nice, but at least the minutes have stabilized. Such is the life of being a freshman on a top-10 team. Holloway has played at least 21 minutes in four straight games. That's the good news. The bad news is that he has hit over 20 DraftKings points in two of those games, but was in single digits in the other two. However, his best game was against Georgia, when he racked up 22.75 DraftKings points in 28 minutes. The price is low enough to chase another game like that in GPP formats.

Also consider: Deivon Smith, Utah ($8.7K); Reece Beekman, Virginia ($8.1K); Kam Jones, Marquette ($7.8K); Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh ($7.4K); Jameer Nelson Jr., TCU ($6.9K); Cameron Hildreth, Wake Forest ($6.7K); Jackson Shelstad, Oregon ($6.5K); Tyrese Proctor, Duke ($6.2K); Isaac McKneely, Virginia ($5.5K); Hassan Diarra, Connecticut ($5K); Blue Cain, Georgia ($4.6K); Rich Barron, Providence ($4.2K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

N'Faly Dante, Oregon ($8.4K)

Dante didn't miss any of his 10 shots against Colorado on Thursday, putting up a massive 58 DraftKings point night against the Ralphies. Dante's first meeting with Utah was similar. He put up 51.5 DraftKings points in that one in just his fourth game of the season on January 18. Those are Dante's only 50+ DraftKings points games of the season. It would be unfair to expect that again, but he may outscore every other forward on this slate.

Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($7.8K)

One of Bacot's best games of the season came against Duke earlier this year when he scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. His production has been so sporadic this year that it's hard to rely on Bacot, but big players show up in big games. It doesn't get any bigger than this! Bacot's performance against Duke in the first meeting was his best game since November 12.

Tafara Gapare, Georgia Tech ($5.6K)

Gapare has filled in nicely for Ebenezer Dowuona lately. He has averaged 23.4 DraftKings points in the last five games. The Miami game was hampered by foul trouble, but in the rest of those games, Gapare has been a constant double-double threat. He hasn't hit on one of those yet, but he has come very close. With all of the shots Virginia has been missing lately, Gapare could have a big day on the boards.

Kachi Nzeh, Xavier ($4.7K)

Nzeh has averaged 5.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 1.0 steals in 22.8 minutes over the last four games for the Musketeers. One of those games was against Marquette when he picked up 14 DraftKings points in 15 minutes. If he comes close to his recent minutes load, Nzeh could hit 20 DraftKings points tonight. I would be happy with that return for this price.

Also consider: Johni Broome, Auburn ($8.8K); Branden Carlson, Utah ($8.5K); Ian Schieffelin, Clemson ($8K); Harrison Ingram, North Carolina ($7.6K); Emanuel Miller, TCU ($7.3K); Baye Ndongo, Georgia Tech ($7K); Russel Tchewa, Georgia ($6K); C.J. Walker, Central Florida ($5K); Dylan James, Georgia ($4.9K); Sean Stewart, Duke ($4.6K)
